A researcher at heart
Wassim KHOURY is a researcher at heart. During his medical studies and his career as a surgeon, he devoted a significant part to research. This one is particularly important to him because it allows important advances over the decades and when they succeed, they allow a direct application for the well being of the patients.
The patent for the prevention of postoperative adhesions, submitted in December 1993, gives Pr. Wassim KHOURY the desire to pursue research in an associative framework in order to find partnerships and thus obtain grants to carry out his projects.
That’s the way June 18, 1994, he became the co-founder of the association A.R.P., the Association Research and Progress ; non-profit association, governed by the 1901 law. This association brings together a small team passionate about research; Georges IZORET, chemist of the University of Paris VII, and vice-president of the association; Anne-Marie TOUSSAINT, surgical assistant invested in the research of Wassim Khoury and secretary of the association and Julien RUDOWSKI, the treasurer of the association.
